Creating sculpture in paper mache', basket weaving, jewelry making, color theory and watercolor are just a few of the arts experiences she shares with her students. Ceramics is one of her favorite mediums and has been showcased in many exhibitions. Her 'Sunshine Gallery' was established to share works of art, exhibits, arts events, and art classes. Expressing though art, she has gone through many phases over the years resulting in a highly personal approach and perspective. She is never content with standing still and is always looking for her next engaging project. She currently creates in her personal Adirondack Art Studio, serves on the 'Gallery Committee' for the Arts Council of Rockland, teaches Art in the NY public school system, and teaches clay workshops at both Rockland Center for the Arts, West Nyack, NY, the Adirondack Folk School, Lake Luzerne, NY., and The Art School at Old Church, Closter, NJ.
Colleen creates her one of a kind artwork from functional to sculptural, wheel thrown and hand-built, hand cut and hand painted glazed. Each piece with the intent of perfection for its purpose.
